Ideal für sowohl Aluminium-Zylinderköpfe auf Aluminium-Blöcke als auch Aluminium-Zylinderköpfe auf Gusseisen-Blöcke, können Cometics MLS-Dichtungen die Scherkräfte zwischen den beiden Materialien widerstehen. Die mehrschichtigen Stahl-Lagen bieten erhöhte Festigkeit, Rückprall und Korrosionsbeständigkeit.
Die äußeren Lagen sind geprägt und auf beiden Seiten mit Viton, einem hitzebeständigen Fluorelastomer-Gummi-Material, beschichtet. Diese Konstruktion ermöglicht es der Dichtung, den Anforderungen von harten Dichtungsumgebungen, Belastungsbedingungen und Oberflächenfinish gerecht zu werden.
