This BD Diesel Steering Upgrade Kit is engineered to reinforce the steering system of Chevrolet and GMC HD trucks equipped with Duramax engines from 2001 to 2010. It addresses common weak points in the steering linkage and tie rods caused by high torque engines, lift kits, and larger tires that exceed OEM design limits.
The kit includes a forged I-Beam centerlink that is 30% stronger than OEM, reducing flex and providing a robust foundation for the tie rods. The tie rods are 1.5 times thicker than stock for decreased flex and feature larger inner ball joints with sintered bearings for enhanced durability and load capacity. Greaseable pitman and idler arms, along with longer, high-strength sway bar end links, accommodate larger tie rods and leveling kits while maintaining factory steering geometry for precise handling without bump steer risks.
