This clutch line is a full replacement one-piece line designed specifically for 99-06 BMW 3-Series E46 models equipped with a BMW transmission adapter, including engine swaps such as 1JZ, 2JZ, SR, RB, and LS engines. It features an extended length of 6 inches to accommodate the additional space required by transmission adapters.
Constructed from -3AN stainless steel braided hose with a Teflon PTFE inner lining and a black PVC coating, it offers exceptional durability and resistance to chemicals, acids, coolants, and hydraulic fluids. The hose is manufactured using DuPont's Type 62 fine grade resin and 304 stainless steel wire braid, providing a burst pressure rating of 9000 psi.
The included Tilton delay valve (flow control valve) reduces driveline shock by allowing slight clutch slip during quick engagements, improving drivetrain longevity and reducing the risk of traction loss during aggressive downshifts or clutch kicks. This valve does not affect clutch modulation or pedal feel during normal operation.
