The Dynatek Dyna S DS6-2 is a high-performance, contactless electronic ignition system designed as a direct replacement for the original breaker point ignition on Harley-Davidson carbureted motorcycles from 1970 to 2003. This system improves cold start performance, provides a smoother idle, enhances power delivery, and offers maintenance-free operation.
Installation is straightforward with a complete base plate swap and the inclusion of a magnetic rotor that replaces the breaker cam. The system fits entirely under the original contact cover, maintaining a clean factory appearance. It is engineered to work with 12-volt Harley-Davidson ignition systems and is optimized for coils with a 5 Ohm primary resistance, such as the Dynatek DC10-1 coil.
