This Fluidampr performance damper is engineered to protect and enhance the durability of your engine by controlling harmful torsional vibrations across the entire RPM range. Designed specifically for Ford 4.0L Barra inline-6 engines from 2002 to 2016, this steel internally balanced harmonic balancer reduces wear on critical engine components and lowers the risk of crankshaft failure.

Fluidampr manufactures performance harmonic balancers for both domestic and sport compact vehicles. Unlike traditional elastomer balancers, Fluidampr performance dampers become more effective at higher RPMs. Fluidampr’s unique design uses a viscous silicone material between the inertia ring and outer housing. Not only does this create a more effective damper at high RPM’s, but it also reduces rotational mass because the inertia ring is not directly connected to the crankshaft. That’s why top engine race builders prefer viscous dampers like Fluidampr.
