The BD Diesel Triple Torque Force Converter is engineered for superior performance and durability for 2003-2007 Dodge 48RE automatic transmissions. Featuring a CNC machined one-piece billet cover, this torque converter prevents warping and improper balancing, maintaining factory height to avoid pump crowding and premature wear.
Its riveted dampener ensures precise alignment and eliminates vibration issues common with welded designs. The clutch packs utilize a self-centering trapezoid tooth design with tighter tolerances, increasing contact surface area for reduced friction wear and longer converter life. Handpicked dampener springs provide softer engagement, while notches in clutch material prevent fluid adhesion, ensuring lubrication even in fluid coupling.
The cast aluminum X-stator is optimized with furnace-brazed fins for improved fluid coupling efficiency, delivering up to 95% engine RPM transfer compared to 75% stock. This results in lower engine temperatures, increased fuel economy, and enhanced torque and horsepower delivery to the ground. Additionally, the converter weighs 12 lbs less than competitors, contributing to better fuel economy and reduced wear.
