Tein Coilovers with Type Approval (Teilegutachten)

For selected vehicles, Tein offers coilovers with a German type approval certificate (Teilegutachten) — registerable under §19 Para. 3 StVZO without requiring a costly individual inspection. Particularly important for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

📋
What is a Teilegutachten? A Teilegutachten (type approval certificate) confirms that the coilover system has been tested and approved for the specific vehicle. It significantly simplifies registration at a German TÜV, DEKRA or GTÜ inspection centre — in many cases no separate individual inspection is required. For drivers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, this is a decisive advantage over imported coilovers without documentation.

Frequently Asked Questions about Tein Suspension

The Tein Flex Z is the clear recommendation. It offers 16-way damping adjustment and is EDFC-compatible, so you can run it softer during the week and stiffen it up for track days — without crawling under the car every time. It's our best-selling Tein product.
No. We import all products directly to Germany and handle customs clearance. You purchase from a registered German commpany and pay the listed Euro price including your VAT — that's it. This applies to all EU deliveries.
The Flex Z uses a twin-tube damper — well-balanced for street use and light track days. The Mono Sport uses a monotube construction: faster response, less heat build-up, more precise tuning. If you're running serious track sessions, the Mono Sport is the right choice. For everything else, the Flex Z is more than sufficient.
EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller) lets you adjust damping from the cockpit at the push of a button. It's particularly useful if you regularly switch between street and track use. For a pure street car it's a nice extra but not essential — all EDFC-compatible coilovers work perfectly without it.
In-stock items ship within 1–2 business days. Products sourced directly from the manufacturer typically arrive at our warehouse within 7-14 business days and are dispatched immediately. You'll receive a tracking number by email once your order has shipped.
Yes — the Tein H.Tech and S.Tech springs are designed as a direct replacement for factory springs and work with your original dampers. However, if your dampers are worn, we recommend replacing them at the same time. Old dampers paired with shorter springs will noticeably worsen handling.

Buy Tein Suspension in Europe — Import & Delivery

Founded in 1985 in Yokohama, Japan, Tein is one of the world's best-known manufacturers of performance suspension products. The range spans from lowering springs (S.Tech, H.Tech) through adjustable coilovers (Street Basis Z, Flex Z, Street Advance Z) to full race-spec suspension systems (Mono Sport, Mono Flex) with independently adjustable compression and rebound damping.

Tein products are not widely available through European retailers. Streetstylez imports the complete Tein range directly from Japan with weekly shipments and delivers duty-free throughout the EU. All prices are listed in euros and include all import costs — you pay exactly what you see.

Tein suspension is available for a wide range of vehicles including the Toyota GR86 and GT86, Subaru BRZ and WRX/STI, Nissan 350Z and 370Z, Honda Civic Type R, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, as well as selected European vehicles from BMW, Audi and Volkswagen.
